Hello, my name is Lev Tankelevitch. I’m currently wrapping up my PhD research in neuroscience at the University of Oxford. This work focused on the interaction between reinforcement learning and attention in healthy humans and animals, using a combination of behavioural experiments, brain imaging, and modelling. In parallel, I am interested in the interface between science and society, with experience in science communication and policy research. Throughout my PhD, I have been exploring ways to engage non-scientists via public events, film, and interactive visualisations. At the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, I researched and wrote a set of briefs about sleep and health. At Polygeia, I led a team of researchers to produce a policy report on AI in healthcare. Occasionally, I also write about neuroscience and science communication. If there is a project that you think I may be interested in, please get in touch.
